Reconcile camp guard
Articles 12 and 13 in the original treatise on febrile diseases say: "The sun has a stroke, and the yang floats but the yin is weak, and the yang floats, and the heat is spontaneous, and the yin is weak, and the sweat is spontaneous. For those who increase aversion to cold, intermittent aversion to wind, fever and vomiting, Guizhi decoction is the main treatment. " "Sun sickness, headache, fever, sweating and bad wind are the main symptoms of Guizhi decoction". Articles 53 and 54 say: "For those who often suffer from spontaneous sweating, this is the harmony of qi, and the harmony of qi is not harmonious outside. Therefore, it is advisable to use Guizhi Decoction to promote the circulation of qi in the middle of the pulse and defend the circulation of qi outside the pulse, so that Wei Rong and the recurrence of sweating can be cured."
The sun is the barrier of the six meridians, which governs the exterior of the whole body, unifying the camp and guard of the whole body, defending the exterior and resisting evil. When the healthy qi of the human body is relatively insufficient, the function of defending the exterior against evil decreases, and when evil spirits invade, the function of camp and guard is out of balance, resulting in the disease of the sun meridian.
Guizhi decoction is the first prescription of Treatise on Febrile Diseases, which takes the pungent warmth of Guizhi, relieves muscle and dispels wind, and the sour and cold of Paeonia lactiflora, astringing yin and harmonizing the camp, with one hair and one harvest, which complement each other on the contrary; With the divergence of pungent and warm ginger, it is suitable for the benefit of sweet and warm jujube and the harmony of sweet and flat jujube. Although the five flavors are well-formulated, the combination of internal and external factors is moderate.
Reconciliation shaoyang
Article 96 of Treatise on Febrile Diseases says: "For those who suffer from typhoid fever, stroke, frequent cold and fever, fullness in chest and hypochondrium, hey hey, aversion to eating, vexation and vomiting, or vexation in chest without vomiting, or thirst, or hypochondriac pain or hypochondria, dysuria, or no thirst, Xiaochaihu Decoction is the main prescription".
Shaoyang is the pivot, which lies between the sun and Yangming, so it is called half exterior and half interior. If the pathogen causes various diseases due to the unfavorable cardinal shaoyang, it should be treated as Xiaochaihu decoction to reconcile. As Cheng Wuji said, "Those with typhoid fever on the exterior will be stained with sweat, while those with typhoid fever on the interior will be cleansed for profit. It's neither inside nor outside, and it's neither suitable for fever nor right for vomiting, but it's just a matter of reconciliation. 」
Xiaochaihu decoction, also known as Sanjin decoction, is the representative of shaoyang. When the evil enters shaoyang from the exterior, not all in the exterior and not all in the interior, and the evil is in the exterior and the interior, it is only appropriate to reconcile.
In the prescription, Bupleurum chinense is light and clear in temperament, and ascending and dispersing can relieve the stagnation of shaoyang, so that shaoyang pathogenic heat can be solved externally; Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi is bitter and cold, clearing pathogenic fire, so that shaoyang evil can be eliminated internally, and it can clear heat in the chest and abdomen to eliminate boredom. The two are compatible, so it can solve the evil of half exterior and half interior, which is the main medicine in the prescription. Pinellia ternata and ginger regulate stomach qi, reduce adverse reactions and stop vomiting; Ginseng Radix, Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata, and Fructus Jujubae are beneficial to qi and middle healthy qi. This recipe is used for both cold and warm, attack and supplement, coordinated lifting, and both inside and outside, which has the functions of dredging triple energizer, promoting communication inside and outside, regulating up and down, and smoothing qi. This prescription can be used to treat all the diseases and syndromes that are unfavorable to shaoyang cardinal in clinic.
Reconcile gastrointestinal tract
Articles 155, 149, 157, 158 of Treatise on Febrile Diseases say: "Fuzi Xiexin Decoction is the main treatment for those who suffer from swelling in the heart and then return to aversion to cold and sweat." "Fever caused by typhoid fever for five or six days, if the heart is full and the whip hurts, this is also a chest-knot, and the soup is the main one. However, if it is full but not painful, it is a new sensation, and Bupleurum root misses it. Banxia Xiexin Decoction is appropriate. "After the release of typhoid sweat, there is disharmony in the stomach, whiplash in the heart, dryness and foul smell, water vapor under the threat, thunder in the abdomen, and diarrhea, and ginger and diarrhea soup is the main one." "Typhoid apoplexy, which is caused by medical treatment, causes the person to have dozens of trips every day, each of which does not melt. His abdomen thunders, his heart is full of new whips, and he is upset by retching. However, due to deficiency in his stomach, he is polite and rebellious, so the whip is also used, and Glycyrrhiza Xiexin Decoction is the main one."
The legislative basis of Xiexin Decoction (pungent and bitter) is the combination of cold and heat (damp-heat). At this time, the cold and dampness are not warm, and the heat is not cold, and it is difficult to clear. The evil heat is even worse by using pungent and cold to dispel cold, and the spleen and yang are more hurt by using bitter and cold to dispel heat. Only when pungent and bitter are combined organically, the cold and heat (damp-heat) are self-calming.
This method is suitable for the syndrome of excessive accumulation of cold and heat due to slight impairment of vital qi and disorder of ascending and descending of qi in the spleen and stomach, and obstruction of middle energizer. The representative is Banxia Xiexin Decoction.
In the prescription, Coptidis Rhizoma and Ganjiangxin Powder are compatible with each other, which is a typical compatibility method, reducing fire and dispelling cold, and adjusting the rise and fall of qi, and are the main drugs for treating cold and heat. Pinellia ternata is pungent and scutellaria baicalensis is bitter and cold, and the two drugs are compatible, which is also a combination of cold and warm, and assists Coptidis Rhizoma and Zingiberis Rhizoma. The above four flavors are designed to eliminate evil spirits; Ginseng, Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch and Zizyphus jujuba are designed for strengthening the body resistance. All the medicines are compatible, cold and heat are used together, pungent and bitter, and both reinforcing and reducing are applied, so that the evil can be eliminated and the spleen and stomach can be lifted, and the fullness under the heart can be eliminated by itself.
In addition, the note at the back of the prescription: "Decocting after removing dregs" is intended to make the medicine pure and harmonious, and stay in the stomach, which is conducive to reconciliation. If the stomach is deficient in food stagnation, and water and drink stop internally, the amount of dried ginger should be reduced, and the amount of ginger should be increased to warm the stomach and disperse water, that is, Ginger Xiexin Decoction. Later generations learned their methods, and all the syndromes of spleen and stomach weakness, foreign pathogens taking advantage of it, mixed cold and heat, disorder of ascending and descending, nausea, and benefit were imitated, and every good effect was obtained, which showed that Zhongjing's prescription for sending drugs was wonderful.
Regulating liver and spleen
Article 3 18 of Treatise on Febrile Diseases says: "shaoyin disease, four adverse reactions, the person may cough, or have palpitation, or have trouble urinating, or have abdominal pain, or drain the benefit and relieve the stress, and the four adverse reactions will disperse the main body." The fourth inverse of this disease is disharmony between liver and spleen, stagnation of yang and stagnation of qi. As the Golden Mirror of Medical Zong says: "If there is little yin and four adverse reactions, although the yin is abundant and cannot be warmed outside, there is also yang that is gloomy and cannot be announced, and the limbs are cold, but now the four adverse reactions have no cold and heat syndrome, so it is neither warm nor hot, but it is appropriate to relax the yang, so the four adverse reactions are used to disperse the main body."
In the prescription, Bupleurum chinense is light and clear, so as to soothe the liver and regulate the qi, so that the liver qi can be reached and the qi can be promoted smoothly; Fructus Aurantii Immaturus promotes qi and disperses stagnation, which is combined with Bupleurum chinense for ascending and descending, and * * * plays the role of qi pivot; With Paeonia lactiflora and Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch, it can be used to make firewood and bitter orange, and it can also be used to nourish water and contain wood. All kinds of medicines are formulated, and the liver-qi reaches, and the stagnation of yang is extended. When the liver and spleen are reconciled, the limb syncope will heal itself.
