Mangosteen can be planted in the north, but basically it will not bear fruit, because Mangosteen is a typical tropical fruit tree, which requires air humidity of about 80% and growth temperature of 20-25℃. If the climate in the north can't meet it, the growth of plants will be inhibited.
Mangosteen originated in Malugu, and is widely planted in tropical and subtropical areas. It has also been introduced and planted in Fujian, Guangdong, Yunnan and other provinces in China, but it is generally impossible to plant it in the north.
How to grow mangosteen in the north
1, temperature: Mangosteen likes a little higher temperature, the most suitable growth temperature is 25-35℃, which can basically meet the growth conditions of Mangosteen at around 25℃, and the temperature in winter should not be lower than 5℃, otherwise the plant will be easily frostbitten.
