1. Generally, the pit is dug about 1-2 months in advance, which is beneficial to the land maturation. At this point, fill the topsoil to the bottom and turn the subsoil to the top.
2. Soak the saplings in water for 3-4 hours, replenish water to the saplings, and let the medicine soak the roots of the saplings! Conducive to the germination and survival of saplings.
3. Before planting, use a knife to cut the grafting film at the grafting site of the seedlings. If it is not removed, it will affect the growth of walnuts and cause saplings to break easily from here.
Don't put chemical fertilizer when planting. In order to prevent improper use from affecting the survival of saplings by burning roots, we can isolate fertilization after saplings germinate.
5. Backfill a part of topsoil into the tree hole, place the sapling in the center of the tree hole, fill it, gently lift the sapling by hand, and then step on it for three times, which is beneficial to the stretching of the root of the sapling.
6. Pour in the right amount of water, and the water should be poured thoroughly. According to the degree of soil moisture, hold the soil moisture into a ball with your hands, and spread it out gently with your palms. Dry can't hug together, wet can't stand.
7. Take a 60cm square black film and cover it from the top of the seedling, and press it with soil around it, which can effectively prevent the growth of weeds, keep warm, moisturize and keep fertilizer.
8. After the seedlings survive for one month, you can dig a fertilization ditch 20-30 cm away from the seedlings, and you can adopt isolated fertilization methods such as ring fertilization and radial fertilization. Don't fertilize the roots of seedlings!
9. Fixed stem is to cut off the top 50-60 cm from the ground after the young trees survive, so as to dwarf the tree and improve the high yield of walnuts. 3-5 main branches should be left when fixed stem is used.
