Fennel likes to live in sandy soil, fertile soil, good drainage. Before planting fennel, apply enough fertilizer, choose fully rotted farmland fertilizer. After applying the base fertilizer, you can deep plough the land for planting.

3. Planting management

Fennel seeds are very small. Generally it needs to be seeded and then planted. After sowing, you can add appropriate amount of sand and enough water to make fennel seedlings evenly distributed. Usually fennel seeds emerge in 7 days after sowing.

4. Seedling management

Fennel grows slowly in the early stage and quickly in the later stage. In order to increase the yield, the growth rate of fennel should be increased in the early stage. The main methods to improve the growth rate of fennel in the early stage are weed control and later water and fertilizer application control.

5. Harvesting

The optimum harvesting height of fennel is about 20cm, and it can be harvested once or twice. If it is harvested, fennel can be cut off with stems and roots. If it is a second harvest, the fennel stems should be cut off at one centimeter from the soil, and water and fertilize in time for 2~3 days after harvesting to promote the second growth of fennel.
