Dong Autonomous County of Zhijiang, belonging to Huaihua City, Hunan Province, is located in the western part of Hunan Province, central Huaihua City. Located in the southern foothills of the Wuling Mountain system, the eastern remnants of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau extension zone, east of Zhongfang County, Hecheng District, south of Hongjiang City, Huitong County and Tianzhu County, Guizhou Province, west of Xinhuang Dong Autonomous County and Guizhou Province Wanshan District, north of the boundary of the Maiyang Miao Autonomous County and Tongren City, Guizhou Province.

The total area is 2099 square kilometers, and in 2021, Zhijiang County has a household population of 372,200 and a resident population of 307,300.In November 2015, it was listed as the second batch of national comprehensive pilot areas for new-type urbanization.On September 25, 2018, it was awarded the "2018 Comprehensive Demonstration County for E-commerce into Rural Areas " honorary title.

Tianhou Palace of Zhijiang

Tianhou Palace of Zhijiang is on the west bank of the Dancing Water, across the river from the county seat, covering an area of more than 3,700 square meters, and now preserving a building area of 1,970 square meters. The huge stone statue of Tin Hau standing in the square of Tin Hau Palace symbolizes the blessing of Tin Hau on the wind and rain.
