Langyatai is located at the seaside 26 kilometers southwest of Huangdao District (formerly Jiaonan City) in Qingdao, Shandong Province, and belongs to Langyatai Provincial Tourism Resort in Qingdao. On 20 10, Langyatai was rated as an AAAA scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration, and on 20 13, Langyatai was recognized as a national key cultural relics protection unit.

Langya Terrace was built in Langya Mountain by the ancients more than two thousand years ago. Its "platform is three stories high, with superior level, more than 200 steps and five miles high".
