Mangosteen flowering and fruiting time
Mango persimmon, also known as mango persimmon, takes 7- 10 years from planting to fruiting. Mangosteen blooms in September-10, and the fruit ripens in May-10. As a result, it takes a long time and the life span of plants can be as long as 70 years.
Mangosteen flowering and fruiting maintenance
Growth habit: Mangosteen has strong adaptability to the environment and likes warm and humid environment with sufficient precipitation. The relative humidity of air is about 80%, and the optimum growth temperature is 25-35℃.
Pruning after flowering and fruiting: Mangosteen should also be pruned after flowering and fruiting, so it is necessary to cut off the branches and residual flowers that are too dense in time, which can reduce the consumption of nutrients and be beneficial to the later flowering and fruiting.
Fertilization after flowering: Mangosteen should cooperate with loosening soil and clearing whip before flowering in July and August to promote flower bud germination.
Mangosteen planting method
Mangosteen can be planted in spring, and the soil should be breathable, deep and drained. However, after collecting healthy and full mangosteen seeds, soaking them in clear water, planting them in fertile and loose soil after germination, and providing appropriate water and fertilizer to the plants later, the seeds will germinate soon.
