First, the utilization of slag.
1, complete combustion
When using honeycomb briquette to mix into soil, slag with full and complete combustion must be used, and slag that forms coke and slag with incomplete combustion are prohibited.
2. Carefully screen
According to your own needs, use a suitable mesh sieve to screen the broken slag. Remove furnace dust and large coke.
Soak in water
Because the ph value of slag is alkaline, it can't be directly used for planting flowers. It is recommended to soak in plenty of water for several days.
Second, the common ways of planting flowers
1, succulent cultivation
It is best to have 50% slag, 30% sand, humus or cooked fertilizer. I didn't write ruby soil, because I thought it was useless, so I'm afraid I won't look for ruby soil. If this substrate is used for propagation, a water dish can be placed under the pot, so that the evaporation of water will be sensed by fleshy roots, stimulate their roots, or take root downward. The soil below is a pot of meat I made with such notes, and there is a layer of small yellow and white bricks on it.
Step 2 plant flowers
There are no certain rules for planting flowers with suitable ashes according to preferences. I take roses as an example. 20% slag ash, 20% sand and 60% humus are the most suitable. This proportion of soil is weak, nutritious and soft, and it will not harden in summer. Large pieces of slag can also be placed at the bottom of the basin to prevent water accumulation and increase soil permeability.
Step 3 cut
As I said just now, excess meat can be propagated directly with the above substrate, but this method is limited to the reproduction of excess meat, because excess meat is rooted in leaves, and most nutrients are stored in leaves. Common flower arrangement is not like this. For most flower varieties, such as roses and hydrangeas, it is undoubtedly the most suitable to use sun-dried river sand if cutting is needed. River sand not only has the necessary ventilation function, but also has the function of water conservation, and the survival point of flower arrangement is water conservation and rooting. If pure sand is hard to find, so is sand.
