What is the cause of acquired ichthyosis?
There are many causes of ichthyosis, such as heredity, mental nerve, chemistry, endocrine, infection or exogenous factors. And heredity is the main factor of ichthyosis. Oral administration of some drugs the day after tomorrow may also lead to ichthyosis, which can generally be recovered by itself after stopping taking drugs.

Ichthyosis is an abnormal hereditary keratosis. The skin is dry and rough like fish scales, with grayish brown scales or deep fish scales, and the skin is white, which is easy to occur in limbs and even the whole body, and often has no conscious symptoms. The cold and dry season is aggravated and the warm and wet season is lightened. Easy to cure, easy to relapse, ichthyosis has no direct harm to human health, but compared with normal people, it has some uncomfortable feelings, especially affecting the beauty of human body. In severe cases, it will also cause symptoms such as skin cracking and bleeding, which will bring great pain.

The formation and occurrence of ichthyosis is due to the metabolic disorder of some substances in the body due to genetic reasons. This metabolic residue is not easily excreted from the kidney, but it has a strong affinity with the skin. When it accumulates in the body to a certain extent, it is gradually secreted to the outside world through sebaceous glands and sweat glands, thus achieving the purpose of excretion and elimination. Because the melting point and dissolution of this metabolic residue are greatly influenced by air temperature and humidity, the skin is in a state of liquefaction and dissolution due to sufficient moisture and high temperature in summer, so the damage to the skin is relatively light. However, in autumn, the temperature drops and the climate is dry. Once the substance is secreted to the skin surface, it will quickly solidify, and the skin moisture will be reduced, so it cannot be effectively dissolved, so it will condense and deposit on the stratum corneum of the skin. In this way, on the one hand, it damages the skin, greatly accelerates the keratinization of the skin and produces a large number of scales; On the other hand, the hair follicle and sweat gland ducts are blocked, which leads to the disorder of sebaceous gland and sweat gland secretion, and finally atrophy, and the skin loses moisture and is abnormally dry. Because sebaceous glands and sweat glands have different distributions in the whole body, individual constitutions are different, and the amount of metabolic residues secreted by sebaceous glands and sweat glands is also different, so they are manifested as skin lesions in specific parts, different types of ichthyosis and different symptoms.
