Cultivation technology
Thinning and replenishing seedlings: Seedlings are unearthed 15 days after sowing, and thinning and replenishing are carried out after the first pair of basal leaves appear. Leave 1-2 seedlings in the hole, and finally settle on 1 seedling. Seedlings must be replenished in a timely manner, and seedlings should be transplanted with soil balls on cloudy days.
Cultivating and weeding: Cultivate and weed quickly when the seedlings are 7 cm high and before the side vines are laid on the ground. Cultivating should be shallow and roots should not be damaged. During cultivating, 4-7 cm of soil can be raised to prevent the fleshy roots from being exposed to the soil and causing discoloration. If it turns green, the quality will deteriorate, but be careful not to cultivate the soil too deeply, as the roots may become elongated.
Water and fertilizer management: The soil should be loosened and top-dressed in time during the seedling stage. Every time the soil is loosened, human excrement should be poured in to promote early onset. Top-dressing should be applied again in early to mid-June when the roots are enlarged.
