First of all, Thanksgiving Day belongs to the western festivals and has nothing to do with the culture of China.
In fact, if you pay attention, you will find that Thanksgiving Day is a holiday created by Americans. The so-called Thanksgiving Day is a time for Americans to get together as a family. The initial date is temporarily decided by the States. It was not until 1863 that President Lincoln declared Thanksgiving a national holiday. It was not until 194 1 that the US Congress officially designated the fourth Thursday of June as Thanksgiving Day. So far, few countries in the world really regard Thanksgiving as a formal holiday, mainly the United States and Canada. This short festival has nothing to do with the people of China and the traditional culture of China. In other words, the Chinese translation is better, which makes everyone fall in love with it.
Second, now Thanksgiving Day is a good opportunity for merchants to promote sales.
In fact, the domestic public has no concept of Thanksgiving at all. Many times, it is repeated propaganda by some businesses for promotion. The current situation in China is that traditional festivals do not allow foreign festivals to stimulate consumption. Therefore, merchants rack their brains to make use of all available foreign festivals in order to achieve sales results.
I don't know the original intention of Americans to celebrate Thanksgiving, but I don't think it is necessary for us in China to follow this trend. We have so many traditional festivals, why not have more fun than us?
