First of all, wild strawberries
My favorite wild fruit when I was a child was it. The flowers that bloom in spring are snow-white, so fragrant ~ in midsummer, they will bear red and big wild strawberries, which are called thorn-soaked fruits in my hometown. They taste sour and sweet, not bitter and sweet, but sweet and super delicious.
But it is a bit difficult to pick, because its branches are covered with small thorns. When I was a child, my sister and I went to pick it. little red dot often appeared on my thighs, which was itchy and painful. We must take protective measures when picking it.
Second, wild raspberries.
When I was a child, I thought wild raspberries were relatives of wild strawberries. They taste sour and sweet like wild strawberries, but they are smaller than wild strawberries and look more like strawberries. The biggest difference between them is that wild strawberries are tied on thorns, while wild raspberries are tied on thorny trees. When I grow up, I know that wild raspberries are actually raspberries that we often say. Forget it, the name is quite nice, hahaha ~
Wild raspberries are a little more colorful than wild strawberries, including red, orange and black, but when I was a child, I ate red the most, because there were seeds in them, so I felt a little crunchy and tasted good ~
Third, August melon
August melon in summer is also my favorite. In fact, this kind of fruit is not common in rural areas. It has very high requirements for the environment and is the fruit of a vine. This kind of wild fruit is only found in the mountains in my hometown, or it was specially brought to me by my grandmother when she went out to collect firewood when I was a child.
It looks strange, purple like eggplant. When it matures, the fruit will explode, and then a whole piece of white flesh will be exposed. Mature pulp tastes long and sweet, but the only drawback is that there are many seeds, which makes it more troublesome to spit.
Fourth, Rosa laevigata
I didn't know this wild fruit was called Rosa laevigata when I was a child. I've always called it little plum with thorns. Hahahaha ~ It only matures in summer. In spring, there will be that kind of beautiful and fragrant big petal white flowers. A flower has about five petals, which is super fragrant. No wonder this fruit is so sweet.
This kind of wild fruit is troublesome to eat, because the fruit is covered with all kinds of small thorns. Every time I eat with my sister, I will wrap the fruit in cloth, then grind off the thorns outside, bite them open with my mouth, and remove the hairy seeds inside before eating. Its sweetness is really unique, super sweet, and the more you eat, the more fragrant it is. I didn't know it was called Rosa laevigata until I grew up. You can also soak in wine, which has the effect of tonifying kidney and strengthening yang. Really good fruit ~
