Raw materials:
1.5 cup of rice, 1 slice of bacon, 1 big potato, 1 carrot.
Exercise:
1. Wash the rice and soak it in appropriate amount of water for about 30 minutes in advance. The soaked rice tastes better when cooked.
2. Wash the bacon and cut it into small pieces for use.
3. Wash potatoes and carrots, peel them and cut them into small pieces for later use.
4. Pour the oil into the pot and heat it. First add the diced bacon and stir-fry the oil with slow fire, then add the diced carrot and diced potato and stir-fry. Turn off the heat.
5. Drain the soaked rice, pour it into the rice cooker, add about twice as much water, then put the fried bacon, carrots and diced potatoes into the rice cooker, mix well, cover it, press the cooking program switch, and stew for 10-20 minutes when it is suggested that the rice is cooked.
Matters needing attention
1. The bacon used was newly preserved after beginning of winter last year. Not long, soft and easy to dice. If it is old bacon, if it is too dry and hard, it can be steamed and then cut into pieces.
2. Soaked rice is better for cooking, and the amount of water for cooking is about 1 times that of rice, or the amount of water can be adjusted according to the water absorption of rice and the amount of side dishes.
Don't fry bacon with too much oil, because bacon itself will ooze a lot of oil. Bacon is usually salty, so there is no need to put salt in rice. If you like heavy taste, you can also add a little fresh soy sauce after the bacon rice is cooked to enhance the flavor and umami.
