Huainanzi is a miscellaneous work that combines Taoism, Confucianism, Legalism, Yin-Yang and Five Elements.

On the political concept, Huai Nan Zi absorbed the Confucian thought of attaching importance to the people, holding that the people are the foundation of governing the country, and the stability of the country depends on the harmony between the monarch and the people. In other words, the people are the foundation and foundation of the country. Only when this foundation is stable can the country be stable. Therefore, he hated the cruel rule of the tyrant and criticized it in his book. Huainanzi draws on the strengths of many schools of thought, integrates a hundred schools of thought, forms a huge theoretical system, and puts forward a set of theories for governing the country for the unification of the early Han Dynasty. In addition, Huainanzi also preserves a large number of ancient myths, which, like Shan Hai Jing, has become a must-read for studying ancient myths. Moreover, the myth in Huainanzi is more detailed and complete than Shan Hai Jing, which has important research value.
