The indications of Xiaochaihu decoction do not include disharmony between liver and spleen. Syndrome of disharmony between liver and spleen is one of the main treatment syndromes of Sinisan.

Indications of Xiaochaihu decoction:

(1) Fever syndrome: cold and heat, fullness in chest and hypochondrium, no appetite, upset and vomiting, bitter taste, dry throat, dizziness, thin and white tongue coating and thready pulse;

(2) Syndrome of heat entering the blood chamber: the woman has a stroke, which is easily broken by water, and sometimes cold and heat attack;

(3) Jaundice, malaria and miscellaneous diseases caused by internal injuries lead to shaoyang syndrome.

Ingredients of Xiaochaihu decoction:

Roughly 4 pieces of Bupleurum (24g), Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, Ginseng, Pinellia ternata, Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch (fried), Ginger (sliced) (9g each) and Jujube. Therefore, Xiaochaihu decoction is a widely used prescription in clinic.

Usage of Xiaochaihu decoction:

2, ancient usage: seven flavors, two liters of water in a bucket, six liters of boiling, three liters of frying, one liter of warm service, three times a day.
