The basal body temperature of normal children is 36.9℃~37.5℃. Generally, when the body temperature exceeds 65438 0℃, fever can be considered. Among them, low fever means that the body temperature fluctuates around 38℃, and high fever means that the body temperature is above 39℃. Persistent fever for more than two weeks is called long-term fever.
Basal body temperature refers to rectal temperature, that is, oral temperature is 0.3℃~0.5℃ lower than that measured from anus, and axillary temperature is 0.3℃~0.5℃ lower than oral temperature.
Guiding opinions:
If the temperature is above 38.5 degrees, please call a doctor immediately to confirm whether it is a virus infection or a bacterial infection. For viral infections, antiviral drugs (such as ribavirin) are used, and for bacterial infections, antibiotics (such as cephalosporins) are used. Don't rush to reduce the fever. A fever is just a symptom. Find out why.
