At present, there is no unified standard for testing "gutter oil" in China.
In the current national mandatory standard "Hygienic Standards for Edible Vegetable Oils" (2716-2005), the physical and chemical indicators of edible oils include acid value, peroxide value, total arsenic, lead, aflatoxin, Nine indicators of benzopyrene and pesticide residues are tested according to different standards for vegetable crude oil and vegetable edible oil.
However, vegetable crude oil and vegetable edible oil are not "gutter oil". As for the nine basic edible oil testing indicators in the standard, even the oil refined from gutter oil may be qualified, and it is impossible to carry out differential testing for gutter oil.
"Gutter oil" is originally a general name, which includes what the general public knows as "gushui oil", "swill oil", "oil produced after processing and refining pork products", " "Oil after use for fried foods" etc. These so-called "gutter oils" themselves are not illegal or criminal items. After chemical processing, these "gutter oil" can be used to produce industrial raw materials and products with practical value, such as fatty acids and fatty acid sodium for mineral processing, biodiesel for industrial fuel, and culture media for the production of drugs. For the production of feed oil, etc., some countries can even use gutter oil to produce aviation fuel.
