Designed by a team led by British-born design chief Jonathan Ive. The sleek, ultra-thin product reflects Ive's reverence for the talented German designer Dieter Ramsay. iPad is a line of tablet computers released by Apple starting in 2010, positioned between Apple's smartphone iPhone and laptop offerings.
From the outside, the iPad is a large iPhone or iPodTouch, running the iOS (iPadOS from 2019) operating system and powered by a 1GHz+ Apple processor, with multi-touch support and built-in apps such as Maps, Calendar, Video, itunesstore, and the ability to run all AppStore 64-bit programs, but can't make phone calls.
