Gel pronunciation
Gel (zhě lí) is a transliteration of gelatine or jelly in English, and also translated into dielectric force and Geely, also known as gelatin or fish glue. There are two types: plant type and animal type. Plant type is a colorless and tasteless edible rubber powder compounded from natural seaweed extract gum. Animal type is an organic compound made of animal skin and bones, which is colorless or yellowish translucent particles, flakes or powder. It is mostly used for fresh-keeping and decoration of fresh fruit snacks and jelly dessert products. This word is included in Modern Chinese Dictionary (6th Edition) (1649).
