comment
(1) In the northwest of China, the roots of many plants belonging to the genus Angelica are still used as Notopterygium.
(2) Notopterygium has the functions of dispelling cold, expelling wind and relieving pain. It is used to treat wind-cold common cold, mainly with headache and body pain, and is often used with herbs such as Fangfeng and Angelica dahurica. Notopterygium root has obvious effect of dispelling wind and removing dampness, and is often used to dispel wind and overcome dampness. However, it is generally believed that this product is suitable for patients with rheumatic joint pain above half body. For example, it can be used with Fangfeng and Duhuo. For headache, it is often used with Chuanxiong and Asarum.
(3) As a drug for sweating and relieving exterior syndrome, its effects of expelling wind and relieving pain should be closely combined, that is, when it is used in clinic for exterior syndrome of wind-cold syndrome, it must be accompanied by headache or joint pain before considering its use. As for the treatment of rheumatic joint pain, it can be applied regardless of symptoms. According to the clinical practice in recent years, this product has a very good antipyretic effect, and can be used together with antipyretics such as dandelion and isatis root to treat exterior syndrome of wind-heat without fever. However, this product has a strong smell, and it is easy to cause vomiting if used too much. Therefore, we must pay attention to the patient's stomach and grasp the appropriate dosage when using it.
