Candidates need to go to the local occupational skill testing authority to register and submit relevant materials, including ID card, academic certificate, work experience certificate, etc.
2. Training
After successful registration, candidates need to attend the training organized by the local occupational skill testing authority. The training content includes knowledge and skills in cooking skills and food safety. Training time is 2-3 days, 6-8 hours a day.
3. Examination
After the training, candidates need to take the chef's license exam. The examination is divided into theoretical examination and practical examination. The theoretical examination time is 90 minutes, and the practical examination time is 120 minutes. The examination content mainly includes the basic knowledge and skills of Chinese food, western food and pastry.
4. Review and certification
After the exam, the relevant institutions will review the candidates' test scores, and the chef's certificate will be issued after passing the examination.
Knowledge expansion:
Chef's certificate is a national professional qualification certificate issued by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and it is also a qualification certificate for a chef to apply for a job, hold a post and start a business. Chef certificate is divided into five grades: primary, intermediate, advanced, technician and senior technician.
After obtaining the vocational qualification certificate (skill level certificate) of Grade IV/Intermediate Worker in this occupation or related occupation, he has been engaged in this occupation or related occupation for more than 5 years (inclusive).
Obtain the vocational qualification certificate (skill level certificate) of Grade 4/Intermediate Worker in this occupation or related occupation, and have the graduation certificate of senior technical school and technician college (fresh graduates who have not yet obtained the graduation certificate).
Or obtain the vocational qualification certificate (skill level certificate) of Grade IV/Intermediate Workers in this occupation or related occupation, and have the graduation certificate of this major or related major in higher vocational schools with advanced skills as the training goal (fresh graduates who have not yet obtained the graduation certificate).
Having a diploma of junior college or above in this major or related major, and having obtained the vocational qualification certificate (skill level certificate) of Grade 4/Intermediate worker in this occupation or related occupation, he has been engaged in this occupation or related occupation for more than 2 years (inclusive).
