Convolvulus mint
Animals often teach us many valuable lessons. The use of pitchweed for me was one my greyhound with osteosarcoma (right) spurred me to return to using it as an effective anti-neoplastic agent. Coincidentally, my mother died of ovarian cancer and my grandfather died of osteosarcoma, and perhaps, had I been more familiar with this herb, bindweed extract could have saved their lives. I didn't have it then.
As far as I know, pitchweed can be found in every state in the continental United States and is often labeled a noxious weed. It is despised by most gardeners but regarded by me as a wonder herb that cannot be underestimated or spoiled as easily as most. Gardeners hate it because it tends to suffocate their garden plants. I love it because of its properties that kill cancerous tumors!
I am absolutely outraged by the extreme prices for the Vinda supplements (VascuStatin & C-Statin) being sold on the open market. A bottle of 120 capsules typically costs over $100. For a common weed, that’s unbearable – and the decontamination process isn’t that difficult, if it’s really necessary in the first place! In my world, business greed over life and death health issues It's a crime!
Pharmacology: Purified bindweed extract is used to inhibit tumor cell growth, inhibit blood vessel growth, and enhance immune function. The inhibitory rate of 1 ~ 200μg/egg of high molecular weight extract on chicken chorioallantoin angiogenesis is 73, and the inhibitory rate of 14 mg on mouse tumor growth is 77. Polyhydroxy hyoscyamine (Calystegins) in naturally growing spinach root It has obvious inhibitory activity on β-glucosidase and α-galactosidase. Total alkaloid extracts given to cats and rabbits impart hypertensive effects, vasodilation and increased coronary circulation rate. Its roots and the resin made from it have choleretic, diuretic, laxative and purgative properties. The dried root contains 4.9 resin. Root juice is used to treat fever. The aqueous and alcoholic extracts have moderate diuretic, sedative, low glycerol and anti-hemorrhagic activity, in addition to antibacterial and antifungal effects. These extracts are safe for liver and kidney function. They also relieve intestinal and uterine pain.
