Yangmei belongs to the Yangmei family, Yangmei genus of small trees or shrubs, also known as Shengshengmei, Baitimei, tree plums have a high medicinal and food value, in East China and Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou and other regions are distributed. It is native to Yuyao, Zhejiang Province, China, and pollen of the genus Yangmei was found during the excavation of the Neolithic Hemudu site in Yuyao in 1973, indicating that Yangmei grew in the area more than 7,000 years ago. There are more than 50 species in this genus, and the known ones in China are Yangmei, white Yangmei, hairy Yangmei, green Yangmei and dwarf Yangmei, and the economic cultivation is mainly Yangmei.
