Juzizhou is located in the center of the Xiangjiang River in the urban area of ??Changsha. It is the largest famous island in the Xiangjiang River. It runs across the center of the river from south to north, facing Yuelu Mountain to the west and Changsha City to the east. It is surrounded by water on all sides. It is tens of miles long, about 40 meters across at the narrowest point and 140 meters across at the widest point. It is shaped like a long island. It is one of the important scenic spots in Changsha, a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction, and a national key scenic spot.

Looking at the rushing north of the Xiang River, the young Mao Zedong wrote the popular "Qinyuanchun·Changsha" at the head of Orange Island in Changsha, expressing his concern for the world and his ambition to save the world and the people. The continent is passed down from person to person, and the poem is magnificent and the city is famous. Orange Island is located between famous mountains and cities, on the blue waves, and is known as "China's First Continent".

In August 2016, the National Tourism Administration decided to delist the Juzizhou scenic spot that seriously failed to meet the standards. It was the second batch of scenic spots in the country to be delisted. On December 18, 2017, the National Tourism Resources Planning and Development Quality Assessment Committee organized an expert group to review and decided to restore the quality level of the Orange Island Scenic Area to the national 5A tourist attraction with immediate effect.

Thousands of flowers, grasses and vines grow on Orange Island, including 143 species of precious plants. There are cranes, herons, gulls, foxes, badgers and other rare animals. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing water on one side, the climate is humid and pleasant, making it the best area for the growth of flowers and fruits.

Orange orchard, picking fragrant oranges in autumn, the fragrance of oranges spreads for ten miles, and the green shade stretches across the ground. The economic forest belt formed by plum orchards, chestnut orchards, tea gardens, loquats, peaches, pears, and apricots is surrounded by patches of wild forest fruits such as hawthorn, kiwi, golden cherry, wild grape, and mountain crabapple.
