1, inappropriate planting time
2. Management technology is not in place.
There were no flower buds that year.
The following detailed analysis of these three reasons, I hope to have a practical guiding role for fruit farmers who have just developed and planted peach trees this year, because starting management now, fruit hanging next year is a high probability event.
First, is the planting time appropriate?
Many people think that spring is the best season for planting fruit seedlings, but it is not. Except for some cold areas in the north, the best season for planting fruit seedlings in most parts of China is after defoliation, that is, late autumn and early winter. The aboveground part of the planted seedlings has stopped growing, and the nutrition has returned. The seedlings have entered the root growth stage, that is, Mr. Roots in autumn and germinated in spring, and the survival rate of seedlings is much higher than that in spring. Spring planting is very prone to the problem of "false living" of seedlings, because the root system has not recovered its ability to absorb nutrients. Seedlings don't survive, everything is zero, so seedling survival is the basis of all problems.
Water and temperature are the most basic factors to ensure the survival rate of seedlings. Especially when peach trees are planted in spring, the temperature is high and the evaporation is large, so it is necessary to ensure good soil moisture. Because the root system of peach tree is shallow, the recovery of root wound healing tissue can be satisfied by ensuring that the water content of 20 ~ 30cm is above 50%. As long as the root system of peach tree recovers its ability to absorb water and fertilizer from the soil, it can basically be confirmed to be alive.
For most areas in the south, it is suggested that fruit farmers plant the peach trees after autumn, so that the roots of the planted peach trees can recover their normal water and fertilizer absorption capacity, and they can germinate as soon as possible in the coming year, which is conducive to our early management and the formation of effective fruiting branches.
For peach trees planted in spring, planting should be completed before Arbor Day in the south, and it can be delayed in the north. At the same time, in order to accelerate the rapid recovery of normal growth of peach root system, seedlings with strong root system should be selected as far as possible when planting, and the roots should be dipped in biological bacterial fertilizer and rooting agent. After planting, it can be covered with plastic film and watered, which can not only improve the ground temperature, but also prevent weeds and improve the drought resistance.
Second, the post-management technology
"One flower after another depends on fertilizer", and so does the newly planted peach tree. This stage is mainly to quickly accelerate the ability of peach trees to grow leaves and branches, so nitrogen fertilizer is the first choice. It is suggested that fruit farmers use amino acid water-soluble fertilizer. Although the water-soluble fertilizer has a short fertilizer effect time, it can be quickly supplied to the root system of peach trees for absorption without transformation, thus achieving the purpose of growing trees and increasing leaves. However, it should be noted that the root system of peach trees is weak at this time, and its absorption capacity is not strong. Fruit farmers are advised not to use too much at a time. A small amount is the best choice, and washing with water is the best method.
Fourth, the formation conditions of peach blossom buds
After the peach tree entered the first ten days of June, the aboveground part entered the stagnation period, the root system entered the peak growth period of the year, the flower bud entered the peak physiological differentiation period, the vegetative growth began to change to reproductive growth, and the nutrients made by the peach tree were transported from the fruit to the outside of the flower bud. At this time, the absorption of phosphorus and potassium by fruit trees entered the peak period. Too much nitrogen fertilizer is applied in spring, peach trees grow vigorously, reproductive growth is weak, and natural flower buds are not well differentiated. Therefore, more nitrogen fertilizer can be applied in the early stage of newly planted peach trees, but it is suggested that compound fertilizer and bio-organic fertilizer should be balanced, and urea should be used as little as possible in the most widely used peach trees, otherwise the spring shoots will keep growing and it will be difficult to form flower buds. Without flower buds, the next year will definitely not bear fruit. This is a natural thing.
It is suggested that nitrogen fertilizer should be mainly applied in the early stage, and phosphorus and potassium should be mainly applied after entering the flower bud differentiation stage in June to slow down the growth of peach branches and transform vegetative growth into reproductive growth. Phosphorus and potassium can promote the flower bud differentiation of peach trees, promote the lignification of branches and form fruiting branches in the coming year. At the same time, in order to prevent nutrients from being used by autumn shoots, measures such as coring and twisting shoots can be taken to slow down nutrient transportation.
At the same time, in order to avoid excessive growth of peach trees in the later period, attention should be paid to controlling watering to avoid excessive growth of autumn shoots, which is not conducive to lignification of branches. At the same time, spraying PBO or 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate on the leaves can also promote the lignification of branches, improve the cold resistance in winter and avoid frostbite.
To sum up, in order to achieve the goal of peach tree planting in the first year, bearing fruit in the second year and high yield in the third year, the most important thing is to create conditions for peach tree to form flower bud differentiation in the first year of management. As long as there are buds in the first year, it is natural to bear fruit in the second year.
