2023 tea packaging standard
In 2023, the standard for tea packaging is Requirements for Restricting Overpackaging of Commodities-Food and Cosmetics (GB 23350-2021+0).

The national standard "Food and Cosmetics for Restricting Overpackaging of Commodities" (GB 23350-2021+0) stipulates the requirements, detection and judgment rules for restricting over-packaging of food and cosmetics. This standard is applicable to the sales and packaging of food and cosmetics, not to gifts or not for sale.

This standard is a compulsory national standard, which is applicable to the sales and packaging of the following tea and related products: tea production license catalogue. Tea and related products include: 140 1 tea (green tea, black tea, oolong tea, white tea, yellow tea, black tea, scented tea, teabags and pressed tea).

1402 tea products (tea powder, solid instant tea, tea concentrate, tea cream, flavor tea products and other tea products); 1403 flavored tea (flavored tea, flavored tea, mixed flavored tea, bagged flavored tea, pressed flavored tea); 1404 substitute tea (leaf substitute tea, flower substitute tea, fruit substitute tea, rhizome substitute tea, mixed substitute tea, bagged substitute tea and pressed substitute tea).

Specific requirements for restricting excessive packaging requirements of commodities-food and cosmetics

1, packaging layer requirements

The number of tea packaging layers shall not exceed 4. The packaging layer is the first layer, which is in direct contact with the contents, and so on from inside to outside. Films close to the outside of the sales package and less than 0.03 mm in thickness are not counted.

2, packaging cost requirements

The cost of all packages, except those in direct contact with the contents, shall not exceed 20% of the sales price of the products.

3, packaging porosity requirements

For one-layer packaged tea products, there is no need to calculate the void ratio, and the number of layers is less than 4, so there is no need to calculate the cost, so the one-layer packaged tea products must meet the standard requirements.

Shanxi Provincial Market Supervision Administration-From September 1, tea packaging will be implemented according to the new national standard.
