①Treatment of bacillary dysentery and enteritis
Amaranth has the effects of astringent, protective intestinal mucosa, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, and is widely used clinically without adverse side effects. According to observations from dozens to thousands of cases, the cure rate is above 95%. Symptoms are generally controlled within 2 to 3 days of taking the medication. Most stool tests turn negative within 4 to 5 days. Usage: 2 taels to 0.5 kilograms of fresh whole plant, 0.5 to 2 taels of dried product, chopped, boiled, and taken 2 to 3 times a day; or dried and ground into powder, 1 qian each time, taken 3 times a day; or Make it into tablets and take 4 tablets (0.4g each) 4 times a day. A course of treatment is 5 to 7 days. You can also use decoction enema. Toxic bacillary dysentery requires comprehensive treatment according to the condition. ②Treatment of amoebic dysentery
According to systematic observation of 27 cases, all symptoms disappeared within 2 to 6 days of medication (an average of 3.75 days), and the stool test turned negative within 2 to 9 days (an average of 5.2 days). Another 110 cases were reported to have achieved significant results. Usage: 1 to 2 taels of the whole plant (dried product), decoct in water, and take twice a day. A course of treatment lasts for 5 to 10 days.
③Treatment of enteric typhoid fever
Use 2 taels of asparagus (whole plant fresh product) every day to make 200 ml of decoction and take it twice. Xiaoshanhu can be added as appropriate, decoction and take 0.5 to 1 tael (dry product) each time to help reduce fever.

④Treatment of amoebic dysentery: one or two fresh amaranth roots and fresh ferns roots each, and five qian for fresh pumpkin vine tendrils for abdominal pain. Decoction in water and take on an empty stomach in the morning and evening.
⑤Treatment of traumatic bleeding: appropriate amount of fresh amaranth and a little sugar. Crush and apply externally.
