It is known as ? black gold? This was my second visit to the Dutch town of Yerseke, where I got a taste of the annual ? Mild Vegetable Festival? s unique flavor.

The aroma wafted with the wind and could be smelled from a distance.

To add to the merriment, the town has built a special food shed with tables and chairs, and invited a local band to play music with local flavor on the stage. We savored the delicious food under the plastic shed at the pier. Because each person can use a maximum of one coin at a time (worth 2 euros), if you want a box, you have to wait in line again. The queue of several hundred people made almost everyone who wanted to? have a box? s diners looking forward to leaving, as if they could wait again.
