The BMI calculator is used to calculate your body mass index and determine whether your height is healthy. Adults aged 20 and over can use this calculator. Body mass index (abbreviated as BMI) is a statistical index to compare a person's weight and height. Although it does not actually measure the percentage of body fat, it is used to estimate a healthy weight according to a person's height. BMI is a useful tool to determine whether your weight is within the normal range, or whether you are underweight, overweight or obese.
The formula is: body mass index (BMI)= weight (kg)÷ height 2 (m). The normal range of adult BMI is 18.5-23.9. If the BMI is lower than 18.5, it is underweight; if the BMI reaches 24-27, it is overweight; if it is between 28-32, it is obese.
Another algorithm of body fat percentage
1, adult female
Parameter a= waist circumference (cm)×0.74
Parameter b= weight (kg)×0.082+34.89.
Body fat weight (kg) = a-b
Body fat rate = (total body fat weight/body weight) × 100%
2. Adult male
Parameter a= waist circumference (cm)×0.74
Parameter b= weight (kg)×0.082+44.74.
Body fat weight (kg) = a-b
Body fat rate = (total body fat weight/body weight) × 100%
