Pinyin name Nan Tiān Zhu Ye

It is also known as Nanzhuye (Hundred Herbs Mirror) and Tianzhuye (Common Chinese Herbal Medicine in Shanghai).

The source is the leaves of nandina domestica, a Berberidaceae plant.

The chemical composition contains a trace of magnolin, and the young leaves contain ascorbic acid (10 mg%).
