Niu Niu, a secretary, described a little girl with only 562 days to live-Niu Niu. Because her mother received a lot of X-rays when she was 5 months pregnant, Niu Niu was diagnosed with a terminal illness less than a month after she was born. Because parents don't want their children to become disabled, they have been reluctant to let her have surgery. When parents finally made up their minds to operate on Niu Niu, it was too late.
No treatment can save Niu Niu's life. However, Niu Niu's parents did not abandon her because of this, or passively waited for her own flesh and blood to die a little. They cared for her as carefully as raising a healthy child until the moment when she stopped breathing.
Evaluation of Niu Niu's Works
In the book, the author shows his feelings for Niu Niu incisively and vividly. In the meantime, there are a series of life insights interspersed, some of which seem to have nothing to do with Niu Niu at all, talking about everyman, pay and reward, eternity, mystery and so on. But if you read his words carefully, you will find that these life insights are not groundless, and each paragraph has more or less contact with Niu Niu, and each paragraph is triggered by Niu Niu and inspired by Niu Niu.
For example, the article "The Sense of Destiny" in the second reading notes is the author's sigh of fate caused by the tragic fate of his daughter. He felt that he and Niu Niu would meet again eventually, and Niu Niu "came to this world in a hurry", perhaps "just to know her father and prepare for the eternal reunion". It can be said that Niu Niu's short life brought him a deeper understanding of life.
People might as well pursue all kinds of happiness in the world, but don't forget that the most important happiness is around you, that is, ordinary family ties. It is true that people can seek help and comfort from others when suffering, but don't forget that there is only one thing that can really make you suffer, and that is your own perseverance. A person knows how to cherish his share of affection and have the courage to bear his own share of suffering, which are two achievements in life.
