What is a user name?
You can set a public user name on Potato. Then, other users can find you through this user name-you will appear in the contact search under Global Results. Please note that even if they don't know your number, people who find you can send you messages. If you are not satisfied with this, we recommend that you do not set the user name in Potato.
How do I get one?
You can set a user name in Settings and use the universal search box in the chat list to search for chats, messages and user names.
What can I use as my user name?
You can use az, 0-9 and underscore. User names are not case-sensitive, but Potato will store your case preferences (for example, Potato and potato are the same user). User name must be at least five characters long.
Do I need a user name?
Potato will not force users to need a user name, but we suggest that users can set a user name so that other users who don't know your mobile phone number can easily find you.
Will people know my number?
No. Neither side will see the other person's phone number.
Can I delete the user name?
