Live silkworm chrysalis with cocoons can be stored outdoors if the local temperature is around zero, and indoors without heating facilities if it is below zero.

In addition, silkworm chrysalis can be cooked with boiling water and salt, cooled and frozen in the refrigerator for a longer time, but the taste after thawing is not as good as that of fresh live pupae.

Store in a dry place to prevent mildew and moths.

You can't put it in the refrigerator because there is no oxygen. Nor can it be frozen unless it is frozen in liquid nitrogen. The best way is to keep it at a constant temperature of about 0 degrees, but not in the refrigerator.

Doing so can prolong its metamorphosis time. When you want it to pupate, put it at 22 degrees to avoid direct sunlight.
