Can the fruit be eaten when it has gone bad?
Mechanical injury. It may be damaged by knocking during picking, storage and transportation. Some soft and dark parts are destroyed by knocking, and the cytoplasm, that is, the liquid in the fruit, flows out. This fruit is edible.
Don't worry if the skin is damaged due to serious bumping, because some polyphenols in fruits are oxidized into dark brown quinones after cell damage, which makes the wound look particularly dark, just like a cut apple, which will turn brown after a period of time.
This kind of fruit is also edible, but it is recommended that you remove the damaged part and eat it as soon as possible, because if it is left too long, microorganisms such as bacteria may attach to it and enter the fruit, which will speed up the spoilage process of the fruit.
