Difference in form
The pumpkin is rounded outside, about 20 centimeters in length and 13 centimeters in diameter. The skin of the melon is pale yellow, and there are irregular longitudinal ribs, usually eight.
The pumpkin fruit stalk is stout, with ribs and grooves, about six centimeters long, the tip of the melon expanded into a trumpet, irregular gourd shape. Due to the different varieties, some have several longitudinal grooves on the surface of the melon or not, the color is usually green or orange.
Distribution of origin
Pumpkin originated in Mexico to Central America around, now widely planted in all parts of the world, but subspecies of the largest area of cultivation, followed by Europe and South America.
