Rabbits cannot eat the following vegetables and fruits:
1. Green onions, onions, and garlic: These vegetables contain spicy ingredients and sulfides, which may cause indigestion or gastrointestinal problems in rabbits.
2. Tomato leaves and potato leaves: The leaves and stems of these plants contain alkaloids, which may have adverse effects on the digestive system of rabbits.
3. Raw beans: including raw peas, lettuce beans, etc. These beans contain a substance called hemagglutinin. Rabbits cannot decompose hemagglutinin and may cause poisoning.
4. Strawberries, persimmons, cherries, apricots and other fruits containing high sugar content: Rabbit’s intestines cannot digest large amounts of sugar well, which can easily lead to diarrhea or flatulence.
5. Spicy vegetables such as eggplant, hot peppers, and peppers: These vegetables contain capsaicin, which may cause irritation and discomfort to the gastrointestinal tract of rabbits.
6. Some fruit pits contain cyanide, such as apple pits, cherry pits, etc., which may cause poisoning if eaten by rabbits.
