Director's self-report:
"Stubborn Radish" took more than three years from the initial planning to the final release. In 2006, director Meng Tian filmed a short film in Hailar, Inner Mongolia. On the one hand, because of the gap, on the other hand, he wants everyone to have a chance to visit Inner Mongolia. That meadow, that valley, that forest ... recording the true and beautiful Hailar has always been the director's dream. At that time, a 45-minute short film was filmed in Hailar, and it took 1 1 day. After the short film came out, it especially made the director feel comfortable. Years of dreams have come to fruition, and this short film has been treasured by the director so far. When I made this short film, I also got voluntary help from my friends. No professional actors, no full-time audience and costumes ... everyone did everything by themselves, so whoever has time will help me do more. To tell the truth, this short film is the embryonic form of "Stubborn Radish".
After shooting the short film, we will continue to shoot commercials, and occasionally friends will show you the short film shot by the director. Later, it spread to Jackie Chan and Chen Guoxing. After watching the short film, everyone especially supported making the content of the short film into a movie. Because most of the previous films were advertisements, I never really set foot in shooting, and the director didn't have any ideas, but the encouragement and support of friends around me became his strongest backing.
Shooting process
After the movie script was completed in February 2007, we talked about cooperation with Hunan Radio and Television and Shanghai Wenguang successively. At the end of 2007, we formally talked about cooperation with Shanghai Wenguang and signed a cooperation agreement. Here, I would like to thank Hunan Radio and Television Station and Shanghai Wenguang for their help and support. Although the cooperation with Hunan Radio and Television was put on hold because of some problems, the enthusiasm and professionalism of Hunan Radio and Television staff left a very deep impression on their team. The failure of this cooperation can only be said to be shallow fate. I hope to have a chance in the future. Shanghai Wenguang invested a lot of manpower and material resources to talk about cooperation, which also moved the director very much. This cooperation left a deep impression on Shanghai Wenguang's working attitude and efficiency.
Due to a large number of shooting tasks to be completed in winter, the whole shooting plan was postponed until the end of 2008. There is almost a whole year to determine the actors involved, during which many artists have read the script. In the play, the protagonist has considered many actors, including Fan Wei, Lin Yongjian and Zhang Guoli. Later, I missed the opportunity of cooperation because of the schedule. It was not until July 2008 that Huang Bo was officially confirmed to play the role of Lao Luo in the film. After the roles were decided, Du Haitao and Zhang Dianfei worried the directors most. After all, they have no professional training. However, Haitao's years of training in the "base camp" and Zhang Dianfei's growth in the "My Hero" competition gradually dispelled his worries. The film was finally officially launched on February 8, 2008 at 65438+, which took more than two months to shoot.
