Who is the real "Santa Claus"?
Every Christmas, we find that Santa Claus is indispensable in the streets, alleys, hotels and shopping malls. Regarding Santa Claus, if you look into history, you will find that there are many legends spread across the European continent. But the most common is, of course, the legend of Saint Nicholas.
According to legend, Saint Nicholas lived in the 4th century AD, and his deeds come from European folk. According to legend, Saint Nicholas was a kind, generous and rich man who loved children. Nicholas' parents were also Christians, but they died young. Nicholas donated all the inheritance left by his parents to the poor, and dedicated himself to serving the society throughout his life. Soon Nicholas became a priest and later a bishop. After his death, people recognized him as a saint, and his image was an old man with a white beard wearing a red robe and a velvet hat. Because he has done countless good things secretly throughout his life, people gradually call him "Santa Claus."
In Europe, the legends of Santa Claus are basically related to Saint Nicholas, but the characteristics of each country are different. . However, no matter what the legend is, one important element is inseparable, that is, he secretly gave Christmas gifts to the children. Probably for this reason, in the eyes of ordinary people, Christmas is considered a children's holiday.
No matter who Santa Claus is, we all need to be clear about the fact that Santa Claus is not the protagonist of Christmas. The protagonist of Christmas should be the Lord Jesus Christ whom we believe in. He is the best Christmas gift. There is a song called "A Gift" with a very good description:
There is a gift, have you received it?
You can’t see it with your eyes, but your heart will know it.
This gift is waiting outside the door of your heart.
It is prepared for you and cannot be accepted by others.
Life is limited, and time will pass.
If you don’t cherish it, it’s hard to keep the opportunity.
Although a gift is good, if you don’t want it,
How can you get it, how can you get it.
Dear friend, do you understand?
The baby in the manger is here for you.
Dear friend, do you understand?

The best gift is the Son of Man, Lord Jesus.
Life is limited, and time will pass.
If you don’t cherish it, it’s hard to keep the opportunity.
Although a gift is good, if you don’t want it,
How can you get it, how can you get it.
After thinking about the real gift-Jesus, we have to think again: So, who is the real "Santa Claus" at Christmas? I think it is already clear to all readers that Santa Claus is not any other gift-giver, but the one who gives us the most beautiful and best gift, Jesus Christ, our Heavenly Father. The Bible reveals to us the great love of this “Santa Claus”: “God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16. )
As we celebrate Christmas, I would like to ask: do you understand the true meaning of Christmas, and have you opened your heart to accept this gift from the real "Santa Claus" - Heavenly Father?
