How to raise giant salamander and its feeding skills

Feeding skills of giant salamander: feed, water temperature and light, water quality.

1. Feed

Giant salamander mainly feeds on natural feed, mainly including plankton, insects, meat, fish and shellfish. Feed once every morning and evening, before 7: 3 in the morning and before 1: 3 in the evening. When throwing bait, you should clean up the last residual bait first. The feeding amount is 5-1% of the body weight. When the water temperature is 16-23℃, the feeding amount should be increased, and the frequency and time can remain unchanged.

2. Water temperature and illumination

The giant salamander has strict requirements on the water temperature. In order to ensure that the giant salamander has a suitable water temperature growth environment, it is best to choose a closed cave or room, avoid light, and do not direct glare when patrolling. The water temperature should not be lower than the freezing temperature and not higher than 26 degrees. Keep warm in winter and cool down in summer, otherwise the giant salamander will enter a dormant state.

3. Water quality

For giant salamander, the most important thing is that the water quality is good. After each feeding, it is necessary to remove the residue, clean up the excrement, adjust the water quality regularly with quicklime, and keep the water flowing for a long time.
