What is Lushi chicken? Lushi Chicken is one of the three local fine varieties in Henan (the other two are Gushi Chicken in Henan and Zhengyang Sanhuang Chicken), and it is an ancient chicken breed suitable for mountain stocking. Lushi chicken is light in weight, strong in foraging, resistant to rough feeding, very similar in living habits to pheasants, and excellent in meat and eggs. Lushi chicken is relatively stable because it lays many eggs, some of which are green-shelled eggs.

Lushi chickens lay eggs 170 days, average egg production 1 170 grams, egg production of 44 grams, and annual egg production 150 ~ 180. Eggshells are mostly pink, and green-shelled eggs account for about 3.6%. The fertilization rate of eggs is 94.6%, and the hatching rate of fertilized eggs is 93.7%.
