First aid measures
1, oral glucose or foods containing glucose: It is recommended to drink a glass of fruit juice or sugar water with 3 spoonfuls of sugar, and a glass of milk can also be effective.
2. Intravenous injection of glucose: 25% ~ 50% glucose 0.5 ~1g/kg was given intravenously during acute hypoglycemia in infants, and glucagon 15μg/kg was given intramuscularly.
3. Glucagon: The dose of glucagon for children is 0.025 ~ 0. 1mg/kg (maximum dose1mg). If pancreatic hyperglycemia is effective, the clinical symptoms of hypoglycemia are usually relieved within10 ~ 25 minutes.
Second, symptomatic treatment
1, hypoglycemia caused by lack of glucocorticoid, growth hormone or thyroid hormone can be treated with corresponding hormone replacement.
2. Insulin-secreting islet cell tumor requires surgical treatment. At most, a single insulinoma is seen, which can be cured by resection, but it is difficult to locate the tumor (about14% insulinoma is multiple), and reoperation or partial pancreatectomy is often needed.
3. Hypoglycemia induced by fructose, galactose or leucine is treated by limiting or preventing the intake of these substances.
4. Hypoglycemia seriously damages brain cells and causes secondary epilepsy, and is treated with antiepileptic drugs.
