Reed has high biomass, and its leaves, flowers, stems, roots and asparagus can all be used as animal husbandry, which has high feeding value. Livestock like to eat the tender stems and leaves of reed, which can be used as mowing ground or grazing and cutting, and is suitable for grazing cattle and horses. Besides grazing, hay and silage can also be dried. After silage, the smell of grass is strong.
Extended data:
The origin of reed
Reed is a multi-type species widely distributed in the world. Born in rivers and lakes, ponds and ditches, low wetlands. In addition to the non-growth of forest habitats, various open areas with water sources often form adjacent reed communities with their rapidly expanding reproductive capacity.
Reed grows in swamps, river banks and waters near rivers and streams, and often forms reed ponds. It grows all over the world, but it is widely distributed in China. Among them, the Liaohe Delta, Songnen Plain and Sanjiang Plain in Northeast China, Hulunbeier and Xilingol Grassland in Inner Mongolia, Bosten Lake, Ili Valley and Emin Valley in Tacheng, Xinjiang, Baiyangdian Lake in North China Plain and other reed areas are large-scale concentrated distribution areas.
