There are different opinions about the origin of coffee. There are two kinds of credibility, one is the widely circulated Legend of the Shepherd, and the other is the popular Legend of Sheikh Omar.
The legend of the shepherd
The legend of the shepherd originated from the Lebanese linguist Faster Neloni, who recorded in his "The Monastery Without Sleeping" written in 167 1 that in the 6th century A.D., a shepherd named Kadi went to graze in the new grassland of Kafa, Ethiopia, Africa, and suddenly found his sheep jumping and jumping, so excited that he couldn't sleep at night. After investigation by the abbot and monks, it was found that the goat was particularly excited after eating the red fruit on the bush. So I picked it up and boiled it into soup. Sure enough, I couldn't sleep all night. So the dean distributed this soup to the monks who dozed off at evening prayers, and the effect was excellent, so this refreshing medicine spread. This is the origin of "coffee".
The legend of Sheikh Omar
The legend of Sheikh Omar is a story recorded by Abdul Kadi, a believer of * * *, in his book "The Origin of Coffee" compiled by 1587. The stage of this story is in the mountains of Yemen in the13rd century: 1258. Sheikh Omar, who was expelled from his clan for a crime, was hungry and exhausted when he wandered to Wasaba, far from his hometown of Mocha. When he was resting on the root of a tree, he found a bird sitting on a branch and crowing with a voice he had never heard before. When he looked carefully, he found that the bird was pecking at the fruit on the branch, so he made this wonderful cry. So he picked the fruits in that area and cooked them in a pot with water. Before long, it began to give off a strong fragrance. After drinking, it not only feels mellow and delicious, but also relieves physical and mental fatigue. So he picked a lot of such magical fruits and gave them soup when he met patients. Because he did good deeds everywhere, the king and his old friends forgave him his crimes, invited him back to his hometown and praised him as a "saint"
According to research, it is now recognized that coffee originated in Ethiopia, Africa. Coffee planting and gardening promotion originated from * * *.
