Ophiocordyceps sobolifera, also known as Ophiocordyceps sobolifera, is a wonderful organism with animal and plant characteristics. The root is the pupa or the larval body of the mountain cicada. The flower is grown from a single or 2 -Three cicada larvae grow out of their heads, about an inch long, with branches blooming from the top. According to relevant research, cicada flowers are a biological morbid phenomenon and are a combination of insects and bacteria that depend on each other. When autumn comes, the cicada burrows into the soil and gradually turns into a pupa. It is parasitized by the Cordyceps sinensis fungus before emerging. When the living conditions are suitable, it begins to germinate into mycelium, absorbing nutrients from the insect body. Finally, the insect body is absorbed by the mycelium. Complete possession leaving only a shell. During the recovery season of all things, the mycelium transforms from the vegetative stage to the sexual stage, and gradually blooms and branches from the top, hence the name cicada flower. Cicada flowers mainly appear in Sichuan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Fujian in China, but are also found in Anhui and eastern Yunnan provinces.
