The process of prison visitation is generally as follows:

2. Review of the application for visitation. The prison will review the application for visitation based on the documents provided by the applicant and the visitation regulations, and decide whether to approve the visitation;
3. Determine the time of the visitation. If the application for visitation is approved, the prison will determine the time and place of the visitation and notify the visitor according to the visitation regulations and the condition of the inmate;
4.Conducting the visitation. Visitors need to arrive at the prison at the specified time and undergo procedures such as identity verification and security checks. After that, they can enter the visiting room to visit with the inmates, but they need to comply with the relevant regulations and requirements of the prison;
5. End of the visit. Visiting time is usually about one hour, after the end of the visiting personnel need to leave the prison in accordance with the requirements and procedures of the prison.

Convicts may communicate with others while serving their sentences, but correspondence shall be inspected by the prison. The prison may withhold any letter found to be detrimental to the reform of the offender. Letters written by convicts to higher authorities in prison and to judicial authorities are not subject to inspection.

While serving their sentences in prison, criminals may, in accordance with regulations, meet with their relatives and guardians.
Article 49
The receipt of articles and money by criminals shall be authorized and inspected by the prison.
