The largest sauger found was over 50 years old, 2.5 meters long and weighed 191 kilograms. Adult sauger are distinctly spotted and colorful, and each sauger has a unique facial pattern that radiates outward from the eyes, just like a human fingerprint.

2, habits: the sauger mainly inhabits very steep reef slopes, sea current channel slopes and lagoon reefs, depths from 2 to about 60 meters. It is usually found alone and occasionally in pairs. It is a large species in the family Romeridae, with a gentle personality that makes it easy to get close to people. It is carnivorous and feeds mainly on fish and benthic animals.
