What is Guanyin soil and why can it be eaten?
Guanyin soil can't be eaten.

"Guanyin soil" is soft and slippery, and it can become paste after adding water. These characteristics, coupled with the white appearance, are very easy to remind people of something-flour.

Main chemical composition: Al4(Si4O 10)OH6. In fact, it is usually called aluminosilicate. The substances with the highest content in the earth's crust are oxygen, silicon, aluminum and iron. This white Guanyin clay is an oxide of silicon and aluminum. Why the earth's crust is the most abundant is because of its stable nature. It is not easy to be digested and absorbed, and it will not be broken down into harmful ingredients, so a small amount of food can produce satiety.

There are five kaolin mining areas in China:

Jiepai town 1 Hengyang County, Hunan Province is rich in mineral resources. The reserves of kaolin, albite, potash feldspar and quartzite reach 200 million tons, and there are nearly 40 mining and mineral products processing enterprises. The single ore reserve of Dapailing mining area (mainly kaolin mine) ranks first in Asia, reaching 80 million tons. The town's annual mining capacity exceeds 500,000 tons, supplying hundreds of ceramic factories across the country.

2. The kaolin in Maoming area and the kaolin in Maoming basin belong to the subtype deposits of weathering residues of sedimentary rocks, and their timely content is more than 50%, so they are called sandy kaolin. Maoming kaolin is said to undergo weathering and residual accumulation-self-grinding after handling; —— In the third stage of re-weathering, the kaolin is completely weathered, and the wafer is mainly single sheet with fine particle size. Mainly used as raw materials for papermaking coatings.

3. Longyan kaolin belongs to weathered residual kaolin deposit. Because the iron content is less than 0.3%, the titanium content is less than 0.02%, and a certain amount of low-temperature solvent element (Li2O) is contained, it is an ideal raw material for electric porcelain, high-grade daily-use and artistic porcelain.

4. Suzhou Yangshan kaolin belongs to hydrothermal altered kaolin. The chemical composition of Suzhou Yangshan mud with pure texture is very close to the theoretical composition of kaolinite, with Al2O3 content as high as 39.0%, white color and fine particles. Mainly used as catalyst carrier and chemical raw materials.

5. Hepu Kaolin: It belongs to weathered residual Kaolin deposit. Mainly used as raw materials for building ceramics.

6. Northern coal-series kaolin: It is sedimentary kaolinite, mainly distributed in coal-producing areas in China, and can be used as building, coating, paint and paper-making coating-coal-series soil.
