Home-style recipe of sweet-scented osmanthus, glutinous rice and lotus root slices
Materials
2 lotus root segments, 45ml sugar-sweet osmanthus, half a bowl of glutinous rice, half a slice of brown sugar, and 6 red dates
Method
1. Wash the glutinous rice and soak it in hot water for 1 hour, wash the red dates
2. Wash the lotus root, scrape off the skin with a knife, and cut off one end. Leave about 2.5cm long part of the pedicle as a lid. Fill the soaked glutinous rice into the lotus root hole. Poke it with chopsticks while filling to make it firm. After filling, cover the pedicle and secure it with a few toothpicks. Seal
3. Put the stuffed glutinous rice lotus root into the pressure cooker, add brown sugar and red dates, then add water to cover the surface of the lotus root, turn to low heat and cook for half an hour after the fire is steamed up.
4. Take out the glutinous rice lotus root and let it cool, slice it into slices with a knife and place it on a plate. Finally, pour the sugared osmanthus on it. It will taste better after being refrigerated
