In order to make the zombie image of "stiff fish" fuller, I specially searched many images of "zombies" on the Internet and made new attempts. I hope my "frozen fish" is not just a zombie, I want to give it more meaning.
In the process of sketching the image, I need to keep thinking and revising, and I also need some opinions from others, so it is basically done in the office. Alienware 17 notebook, i7 processor, high-speed operation, so that I can not only browse all kinds of websites at will, but also open a variety of software at the same time.
In the whole process of pre-image setting, we will do a lot of concept maps and some basic dynamic performance maps. After finalization, the original painter will make a standard scale three-view and basic perspective dynamic diagram. The basic software used in this process is PS and AI. ?
Alien X5 1 desktop is the necessary equipment for me to create "Frozen Fish". Alienware X5 1 is my first choice for both original painting design and graphic rendering. The ultra-small chassis does not occupy space, and the integrated water cooling system is standard to ensure the efficient operation of the machine.
3D modeling is the most important thing in animation creation, which is made with 3DMAX, such as the body, shoes, hat, clothes and various accessories of a stiff fish. Then use professional sub-UV software to spread and lay out the UV reasonably.
Then the UV-segmented model is imported into ZBRUSH for carving, such as cracks on fish bones, the underlying texture of skin, folds and patterns of clothes, etc. This step will make the model more detailed and more exquisite and vivid.
At this step, the tone of the model has been determined. We import the model into MAYA to rearrange the UV, and use MAYA's UV set to rearrange the UV of the model according to the importance of different parts, which makes the overall layout more reasonable.
Import the detailed model into the professional mapping software MARI, and draw more details that the model part can't do, as well as color changes. On this basis, the concave-convex texture of the highlight layer and the mask of the reflective layer are drawn. The whole process should not only consider every detail, but also observe the overall effect of "stiff fish"
I will discuss with my colleagues every development of Frozen Fish, and occasionally revise the details repeatedly.
Graphic rendering is the follow-up link of "Stiff Fish" creation. Import the model into MAYA again, set the renderer according to different rendering requirements, adjust the material of each model, and give the model map of each channel. The work of rendering is very complicated and needs constant observation. At the same time, the rendering work is carried out for a long time, so this link requires the equipment to run stably.
After the completion, the image of "stiff fish" was released on many design exchange platforms, which caused great repercussions. Since then, I have become the "father of frozen fish", but I know that "frozen fish" is not done by myself, but belongs to my whole team. It was everyone's struggle that finally made the "stiff fish" appear perfectly in the public's field of vision. All creative processes are hard, and there are few works that have not been brainstormed and revised repeatedly. But all the hard work is worth it when the work comes out!
I will stay in the office most of the time, because I have to constantly think about making changes. Occasionally, I will take my Alienware 17 notebook to sit not far from the company.
While looking at the scenery, I also want to change an open scene to continue my "frozen fish" creation. Fortunately, Alienware 17' s ultra-high memory and solid-state hard disk allow me to store a large number of manuscripts for easy reference, and even some software can run well.
I will continue to make animation. As long as I am inspired, the "frozen fish" will go further and further. And I will continue to follow my companions on the road of animation creation.
