The feeding method for sparrow chicks is as follows:
1. The gastrointestinal function of sparrow chicks is not yet fully developed, so when feeding them, they should be fed some semi-liquid food that is easy to digest. Feeders can make flour from millet, rice, corn, etc., add cooked egg yolks, vitamins, bone meal, etc. to make a batter-like food, and feed it to the sparrows with a small toothpick. Sparrows have extremely small intestines and stomachs, so feeding them only requires 5-1ml each time, and they should be fed every 2 hours or so.
2. Sparrow chicks do not need extra water when being fed by their parent birds in the wild environment. Because when the parent birds feed the young birds, the food contains sufficient water. However, artificially fed baby sparrows still need to add some water because their food is relatively dry. Sparrow chicks will not drink water on their own, so owners can use a syringe to feed the sparrow chicks a few drops of water after each feeding. Be careful not to feed too much water, otherwise it will cause diarrhea in the sparrow chicks.
3. Sparrows are very wild and will be repelled and nervous about the environment provided by humans, which is likely to trigger a stress response. Therefore, when raising sparrow chicks artificially, the living environment of sparrows in nature should be simulated as much as possible, and a suitable temperature should be maintained. It is best to have sunlight and green plants. This will eliminate the nervousness and fear of sparrow chicks as much as possible.
